Career Opportunities for Registered Children's Nursing

Having a children's nursing registration opens doors in health care as this course allows for wide and varied age related children's experiences and promotes versatility in relation to employment within and outside the health services. Further courses leading on from a RCN are:

• Postgraduate courses leading to another registration (RM, RPHN)
• Clinical Nurse Specialist / Advanced Nurse Practitioner
• Postgraduate programmes/modules that do not lead to another registration (Metabolic, Neurology, Asthma, ICU, A/E, etc)
• Community Liaison Nurse
• Community nursing
• Education pathway
• Management pathway
