In the QS World University Subject Rankings 2023, the School of Nursing & Midwifery Trinity College Dublin has climbed one position to rank 41st in the world. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students, who have all played a crucial role in achieving this prestigious recognition.

This ranking is a reflection of our School's academic excellence, research impact, and employer reputation. It underscores our commitment to providing our students with the best possible education and to advancing the field of nursing and midwifery through fantastic research and innovative practices.

In response to the ranking, Dr Fintan Sheerin, Head of the School of Nursing & Midwifery noted:

"Trinity College Dublin’s School of Nursing and Midwifery has again risen in the QS Rankings and is currently placed at 41st in the World/9th in Europe. It is a truly significant achievement and speaks to the quality of our programmes, the reputation of the School and the dedication of all its staff. That this was achieved in a period when we were realigning after the initial years of Covid-19 is particularly noteworthy. As we finalise our strategic direction for the coming five years, I am confident that we will continue to see the School excelling and reaffirming its position as a global leader in nursing and midwifery education and research."

We would like to extend our gratitude to the QS World Subject Rankings for recognizing our School's achievements, and to our staff and students for their hard work and dedication. This ranking will serve as a source of inspiration and motivation as we continue to strive for excellence in nursing and midwifery education and research.
